EPBD explained: What's ahead for DHC?
The EPBD targets a fully decarbonised building stock by 2050, contributing directly to the EU’s energy and climate goals. The revised EPBD, alongside the increased ambitions from the REPowerEU initiative, has set a clear decarbonisation pathway.
Under the directive, new challenges and opportunities arise for the building and the district heating and cooling sector.
On Thursday 19 September from 10:00 to 11:00 members will discover what the EPBD implies for the district heating and cooling sector and the implementation pathway across various EU Member States.
This discussion will be led by Euroheat & Power and external guest speakers, with expertise in the topic:
- Pauline Lucas, Policy Director, and András Takács, Senior Policy Advisor at Euroheat & Power
- Johann Zirngibl, Board Director at EPB Center and Leader of REHVA’s EU Policy and Advocacy Group
- Victoria Taranu, Senior Researcher at the Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE)
